FAQ

What kind of photo shoots do you offer?
I photograph solo travellers, couples, families and groups, as well as engagements, proposals, kimono experiences and other special occasions. If you have something particular in mind, feel free to get in touch and tell me about it.
Are the photo shoots private?
Yes. All photo shoots are completely private and reserved exclusively for you and your group. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, with family or with friends, the session is tailored to you.
How much does a private photo shoot in Kyoto cost?
Private photo shoots start from ¥20,000 for a one-hour session. The final price may vary depending on the length of the shoot, location, travel requirements and group size. Get in touch with a few details about what you have in mind, and I’ll be happy to provide a quote.
What time do photo shoots start?
I offer flexible time slots throughout the day depending on availability. We can discuss the best time based on your schedule, chosen location, and the kind of photographs you would like to create.
Can I book a photo shoot outside Kyoto?
Absolutely. While I am based in Kyoto, I am available for photo shoots throughout Kansai and other locations in Japan and overseas. For locations outside Kyoto, additional travel expenses will apply.
Can you help us choose a location?
Yes. If you’re not sure where you would like to have your photo shoot, I can suggest locations based on the atmosphere you’re looking for, the season and your schedule. If you already have somewhere special in mind, we can plan the session around that.
Where do we meet?
Depending on your plans and our arrangements, I can meet you at your hotel, your kimono rental shop, or directly at the agreed photo shoot location. We’ll arrange the most convenient meeting point before your session.
Can you arrange a kimono rental or maiko dress-up experience?
Yes. I can help arrange both kimono rentals and maiko dress-up experiences in Kyoto. These can be incorporated into your photo shoot package depending on what you would like to experience. Additional charges will apply.
How many photos will I receive?
For a standard one-hour photo shoot, you will receive approximately 30–40 professionally edited, high-resolution photographs.
When will I receive my photos?
Your final edited photographs will be delivered digitally within 7 days of your photo shoot, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations. If you need them sooner, I can factor that in.
How do I book a photo shoot?
The best way to get started is to contact me using the form below. Please include your preferred date and time, the number of people in your group, the occasion or type of photo shoot you’re looking for, and any locations or additional experiences you have in mind. I’ll then get back to you with availability and a quote tailored to your session.
How do payments and cancellations work?
A non-refundable deposit of ¥10,000 is required to confirm your booking. Any additional services arranged on your behalf, such as kimono rentals or other third-party bookings, must also be paid for at this time and are non-refundable once confirmed.
The remaining balance for your photo shoot is due two weeks before your scheduled session.
If you need to cancel after making the final payment, 50% of the remaining session fee will be refunded for cancellations made more than 72 hours before your photo shoot. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.
All payments can be made securely via a payment link provided at the time of booking.
