'Beyond Sake'Kyotography KG+ at Ace Hotel Kyoto
'Beyond Sake' is a long-term project of writer/photographer and sake professional Cindy Bissig. Shown as part of Kyotographies KG+, she is showcasing photos of Tokubee Masuda Shoten in Kyoto, a 350-year-old sake brewery - an intimate focus on the craft and the communities behind them.

For two weeks, a curation of photos under the theme “Light in and Around Sake Breweries” by Cindy Bissig, Anat Parnass and Anna Petek is held at the 日本の酒情報館 Japan Sake & Shochu Information Center in the heart of Tokyo.

Blurred Reality is an ongoing project by Swiss photographer Cindy Bissig, and this year’s exhibition continues where last year’s “Blurred Reality” left. “Disoriented” is the second exhibition of this ongoing project created in 2021.

"Blurred Reality" highlights the fine line or grey area between reality and our imagination. Beautiful places of escape. It deals with isolation and how easy it is to drift into a seemingly comfortable and perfect world of our own making. An escape into a beautiful yet empty world deprived of human connection.

Kyotographie KG+ 2022"Blurred Reality" highlights the fine line or grey space that lies between reality and our imagination. Beautiful places of escape. Faceless people, shadows and paths too difficult to cross.
