Private Geisha show and dinner in Kyoto incl. "Geiko" dance!

Meeting a Geisha's or Maiko/Geiko, as they are called in Kyoto, is one of the most mesmerizing experiences one can have in Japan. It embodies everything we imagine Japan is and gives a unique look into a culture that still holds so much mystery. So join me as I am attending a special Geiko dinner and show in the heart of Kyoto. Guided through the afternoon/evening by well-known Geisha expert Peter McIntosh, you will get a glimpse into what such an event is like. Watch Geiko "Miehina" perform some beautiful dances and show her personality as she interacts with us afterwards. A truly incredible experience! Something that should definitely be on your itinerary should you have the chance to travel to Japan. Giving you access to a hidden world that is still a big part of Japanese culture and will leave a lasting impression on you. I promise. UPDATE: If you like this video, then also check out the full Geisha performance, including the original music here: https://youtu.be/Z_RZQfKlF14 More Info about Peter MacIntosh: http://petermacintosh.com/ Check out the amazing Documentary about Geishas by Peter MacIntosh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmH4mcTb6JE&ab_channel=PeterMacIntosh I hope you enjoyed this video and I would love to hear what you think so please let me know in the comments below and feel free to ask any question!!! 😉 ☆ Please subscribe if you want to know more about Japan! Nagoya Soul Food #2 - KISHIMEN!

Talking about food in Nagoya, Kishimen is one of Nagoya’s most famous dishes! A noodle dish consisting of flat udon noodles in a delicious broth. It is seasoned with tamari, a condiment within the soy sauce family, strong in flavor and color. As well as of course a variety of toppings. A great dish to eat during all seasons, because it is not too heavy. The most famous restaurant to try it, is "Miya Kishimen", a small local restaurant chain, with a few different locations. However, the most popular one is the Jingu Branch inside the ground of the Atsuta Shrine. It is located inside a tent, so you will actually enjoy your food outdoors, which adds to the experience if you ask me. And yes this is a popular one, so expect there to be a queue especially at lunchtime. The good news, the queue usually moves quickly as this is not a sit-down and talk kinda dish, but a fast and tasty one!
